Setting Media Type Properties (Duplex Mode)
Specify whether to allow duplex printing for each of custom media types 1 - 8. Use duplex mode.

Referring to Accessing the Machine Default Screen on page 3-11, access the Machine Default screen. Press [ ] or [ ] to select Select media type (2sided) and press [Change #]. Press [ ] or [ ] to select the media type to adjust from Custom 1 Custom 8 and press [Change #]. The display returns to the Machine Default screen.
Setting Handling for Special Media Types
When printing on prepunched, preprinted, or letterhead paper, depending on the original placement method or combination of copier functions, the hole positions may not align or images may be printed upside-down. Print Direction Speed Priority Description Print with aligned finish direction. Print Direction] is enabled, load paper according to the following method. Example: Copying on letterhead paper

Note When loading paper into the cassette and MP tray, place the surface to be printed facing up. Print Direction] is enabled, the printing speed decreases slightly.

Auto Detect Originals
Specify the paper size to select when an original with a similar size is automatically detected. Item Cardstock/A6 B4/Folio 11 × 15" Description Select whether to detect the size as Postcard or A6R. Select whether to automatically detect as 11 × 15".
Note This setting is displayed only for metric models.

Press [Close] to save settings or [Back] to cancel settings. The display returns to the Machine Default screen.
Orientation of Original Document
Set the original orientation in default settings mode. Item Top Edge Top Top Edge Left Description Sets the top edge as the original's upper edge. Sets the left edge as the original's upper edge.

Setting Sleep Timer Timeout
Set the time until Auto Sleep mode is activated when [On] is selected in Activating Auto Sleep on page 3-21. For further details on Auto Sleep mode, refer to Sleep Mode in Chapter 3 of Operation Guide. Note If the device is used frequently, it is recommended to set Auto Sleep mode to a larger time delay, and to a shorter time delay if the periods of non-use are longer.
